The agent layer is spreading from document search to migration work and team chat
Mistral, AWS, and Slack now position agents not only on an answer surface, but inside document navigation, migration flows, and team-reviewed work steps.

Navigation inside documents is becoming its own product
Mistral presents Agentic Search not as a plain list of results, but as a setup that opens the document, moves to the relevant page, reads the line, and verifies the answer inside the source. Giving search, open, navigate, read, and grep in one package shows that on long enterprise documents the real sale is less about a model reply than about research behavior. Document access stops being a quiet helper behind the model and becomes a product surface of its own.[1]
Workflow and team oversight are joining the same line
AWS packages cloud migration as a multi-agent AgentCore flow spanning discovery, infrastructure-code generation, and post-migration steps. Slack Code moves coding agents directly into project channels, placing pausing, redirection, and expert approval for high-risk steps inside the chat flow. In both cases, the agent is no longer a tool that shares a result afterward, but something visible and interruptible while the work is underway.[2], [3]
The agent is becoming a process unit rather than an answer
Mistral’s document navigation, AWS’s migration flow, and Slack’s in-channel oversight point in the same direction. Agent software is no longer sitting only in a question-and-answer layer; it is entering reversible work steps such as document review, infrastructure change, and team coordination. That shift will push providers to be judged not only on answer quality, but on how visible and controllable the process remains.[1], [2], [3]
