Grok reaches cloud catalogues and IDE plans while Azure DevOps hits an identity wall

xAI moved Grok 4.6 into Vertex AI and Grok Bot into more Cursor plans. Microsoft opened Azure DevOps' remote MCP server, but an Entra compatibility gap still keeps major clients outside.

Grok 4.6 is now in the Vertex AI catalogue

xAI says Grok 4.6 has been added to Vertex Model Garden inside Google Cloud Vertex AI. The published package offers a 500,000-token context window, configurable reasoning effort from low through xhigh, and pricing of 2 dollars per million input tokens, 0.50 dollars for cached input, and 6 dollars for output. The company positions the model as its flagship option for long-running agent workflows and interactive or visual tasks.[1]

Grok Bot is being bundled into more Cursor plans

In a separate announcement xAI said Grok Bot is now included with SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor's standard and premium team plans. The notice reports no price increase and no new usage cap; the emphasis is on turning the tool into a default part of subscription tiers rather than a separate purchase. In today's rollout, the access is being offered inside work environments people already use rather than only from a standalone product page.[2]

Azure DevOps opened the gate, but clients still cannot enter

Microsoft has made the Azure DevOps remote MCP server generally available, exposing work items, pull requests, repositories, and pipelines without a local installation. The server runs over streamable HTTP with Microsoft Entra authentication, which the company says keeps personal access tokens out of config files. Yet the same report says Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Cursor still cannot connect; the missing link is Entra support for dynamic OAuth client registration or client ID metadata documents.[3]
