Adobe buys the Indian marketing startup Rilo, shuts the product down and takes on its six-person team

Adobe has acquired Rilo, an Indian startup whose agents automated competitor tracking, content repurposing and sales-call analysis for marketing and go-to-market teams. Neither side disclosed terms of the licensing and team deal, which moves a six-person team into Adobe and shuts the platform to existing customers. Adobe says the purchase brings a strong technical team and carries Rilo's agent capabilities into its enterprise suite, its second Indian acquisition after Rephrase.ai in 2023.

Adobe takes over Rilo through a licensing and team deal

Adobe has bought Rilo, an Indian marketing intelligence startup, in a licensing and team deal whose terms neither side disclosed. A six-person team moves across to Adobe and the product is being shut down: existing clients will no longer be able to reach the platform, and Rilo will stop serving its customers. An Adobe spokesperson confirmed the purchase to Inc42, which reports that the deal size remains unclear.[1], [2]

Rilo had agents run marketing workflows described in plain language

Rilo was founded in 2025 by Dhruv Jaglan and Georgi Boby, IIT Bombay alumni and batchmates. Jaglan had earlier founded the AI recruitment platform Babblebots.ai, and Boby led technology at the robotics firm CloudChef. Their tools let marketing and go-to-market teams build complex workflows in plain English and have AI agents execute them autonomously, covering competitor intelligence, content repurposing, social media outreach, campaign research and sales-call analysis. More than 10,000 people tried the tool, and Jaglan says it reached that many users within months of launch.[1], [2]

From a seed round that valued Rilo at 10 million dollars to Adobe's second Indian purchase

Before the acquisition, Rilo had raised 1 million dollars in seed funding at a valuation of 10 million dollars. TechCrunch lists Peak XV, DeVC and Day Zero Ventures among the backers, while Inc42 names Peak XV Partners and DeVC. Adobe says the deal brings a strong technical team, lets it build broader marketing workflows for its customers and integrates Rilo's agent capabilities into its enterprise suite; cofounder Dhruv Jaglan wrote on LinkedIn that Rilo is joining Adobe to bring AI to Fortune 500 marketers. The purchase is Adobe's second in India, after the Rephrase.ai deal in 2023.[1], [2]
