Granary 2 is sold as a scale that logs what the cat left
TechCrunch's Lauren Forristal, who tested the Vision model, wrote that Granary 2 weighs leftover food in the tray so a dispensed portion is not treated as a meal eaten. The company says the camera can tell apart as many as 10 cats; that recognition claim is not independently verified.

A tray scale instead of a dispensed-portion log
Lauren Forristal at TechCrunch wrote that she tested the Vision model and that the material change is a built-in scale that weighs food in the tray, so the device logs what remains rather than treating a dispensed portion as a meal eaten. The companion app stores eating duration, frequency, preferred times and speed in daily, weekly, monthly and yearly views. That is a logging change, not a claim that the scale was independently calibrated in the piece.[1]
The ten-cat, two-bowl claim
Petlibro says the Vision camera can tell apart as many as 10 cats, TechCrunch reported, that Vision Duo uses two chutes and bowls, and that those figures are company claims. Vision models add 1080p monitoring and collar-free recognition. TechCrunch did not independently verify the ten-cat figure against a multi-cat household count of its own.[1], [2]
Recognition claims nobody tested
Petlibro says the Vision camera can tell apart as many as 10 cats and that the top model portions food from that recognition. Those recognition and portioning claims are not backed by an independent confusion test. Smart Refill Mode dispenses more food when the bowl drops below a threshold while staying inside a daily limit, and battery backup runs up to 24 hours. Collar-free recognition is what the multi-cat claim rests on.[2]
