The left temple, ten reports
Inmo recalled the Air3 smart glasses after the left temple can overheat during extended use. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission counted 10 reports of a burning sensation on the face. The commission wrote that the burn hazard carries a risk of serious injury or death. 604 Now reported a Health Canada recall of black INMO AIR3 glasses that may overheat during extended use. The United States had 10 overheating reports. The page is dated 24 September. PR Newswire carried a CPSC notice counting 1643 units and 10 reports of the AIR3 glasses overheating, including a burning sensation to the face and the left side of the ear.[1], [2], [3]
Stop, then a software update
Inmo is asking owners to stop using the device and request a free software update. The update is a safety fix for Air3 units already sold, not a general model announcement. The Canadian notice tells owners to stop and update firmware to version 3.16. Canada had no injury reports as of 17 September. The product label reads AIR3 and INMO on the inside right arm.[1], [2]
Canada has no injury reports
The Verge account stays on the US commission: 10 reports of a burning sensation on the face, a written risk of serious injury or death, and a free software update for units already sold. It does not give a Canadian injury count. 604 Now adds the Health Canada notice for the same black AIR3 glasses, the 3.16 firmware step, and the statement that Canada had no injury reports as of 17 September. The US count of 10 overheating reports is the figure both pages share.[1], [2]
