Meta has announced an enterprise AI business called Meta Enterprise Platform and appointed former MongoDB chief Chirantan CJ Desai to lead it. A new unit targets businesses

Meta has announced a new business unit called Meta Enterprise Platform. It intends to bring AI models, agents and infrastructure to business customers. Chirantan CJ Desai, formerly MongoDB’s president and chief executive, will lead the unit and report directly to Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg. The announcement establishes an enterprise business structure and appoints its leader. It does not say that a complete package containing every named component can be purchased today.[1], [2]

Muse tools move into the plan

The initial plan names the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. Meta says it wants to make these existing tools available to businesses and developers through enterprise services. Its stated aim is to build on the technology behind the consumer Muse experience. Muse itself was introduced earlier; the September 28 development is the business unit and the leadership assigned to bring these tools to enterprise customers.[1]

No full rollout date was given

Desai says the unit will focus on products businesses can deploy in their own operations. Meta says security and privacy will be built into the design from the start, a company commitment rather than an independent audit finding. The announcement provides no price schedule for the enterprise offerings, no named launch customers and no date for general availability. The new unit has a defined leader, while the announcement leaves the product rollout schedule open.[1]
