Mistral hosts workflow workers from GitHub in a new cloud preview

Mistral’s Managed Deployments preview hosts workers for existing AI workflows on its cloud. Developers connect a GitHub repository and supply working code and a Dockerfile; the platform builds and runs the container. Service accounts, build and worker logs, and outbound-network controls accompany the deployment lifecycle. Paid-plan access and concurrent-deployment quotas define the preview’s scope.

GitHub code becomes a worker running on Mistral Cloud

Mistral, the AI developer behind AI Studio, introduced Managed Deployments as a public preview on October 9. It hosts workers for AI workflows on Mistral Cloud, taking over building, scaling and lifecycle management. A developer connects a public or private GitHub repository and selects the project branch. The platform retrieves the code, builds a Docker image and runs the container that hosts the worker.[1], [2]

The workflow still needs functioning code and a Dockerfile that starts its worker correctly. Once running, the worker registers the workflows it can execute. Private-repository access requires Mistral’s GitHub application and the corresponding permissions. Developers connect GitHub through AI Studio and retain responsibility for their code and access choices.[1]

Service accounts and network controls accompany deployment

Workers authenticate through service accounts rather than workspace API keys. An option blocks outbound network traffic during both building and execution. A secrets manager supplies credentials to processes connecting to external services, so developers do not have to place those credentials directly in source code. AI Studio provides build logs and worker logs alongside the controls for creating, updating, starting, stopping and restarting deployments.[1], [2]

Paid plans and concurrent limits govern the preview

The preview is available under Pay-as-you-go and Enterprise plans; the free plan does not include managed deployments. The standard allowance is three simultaneous deployments for Pay-as-you-go and ten for Enterprise, with higher limits possible by agreement. Those quotas count active deployments rather than workflow execution rates. Mistral labels the service a preview and says behavior and limits can change during that period.[1]
