Memory and custom avatars go offline
Energize Lab, maker of the Eiliko conversational robot toy, has responded to the security disclosure with promised changes. In a statement sent to The Verge, it said external backend access had been closed and credentials rotated. The company also said it disabled remote changes to robot responses and took long-term memory offline, stopping storage of new conversation transcripts and user profiles.[1]
Custom avatars were disabled while built-in avatars remained available. Energize Lab pledged to erase the transcripts it already held, together with profiles, uploaded avatar pictures and associated material. It also acknowledged that earlier messages had not reached the technical team promptly.[1]
