Claude combines organization usage and cost reporting in one beta API
Anthropic opened a Usage and Cost Analytics API beta for Claude Console and Enterprise organizations on October 29. Shared reporting endpoints let organizations group consumption and spending by model, workspace, key or requester. Earlier reporting interfaces remain supported as legacy services. Access depends on administrative or analytics credentials, with regional and cloud-specific authorization rules.

Console and Enterprise share reporting endpoints
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, opened a beta application programming interface for organization-wide usage and cost analytics on October 29.[1], [2]
Claude Console and Claude Enterprise organizations can use the same endpoints, parameters and response structure. Usage queries return token and request counts; cost queries return spending in US dollars. The shared reporting structure covers the two organization types while allowing organizations to distinguish individual sources of consumption.[1]
Requests can be grouped by the person behind them
Organizations can filter or group results by model, workspace, API key and the user or service account behind a request. Consumers can be ranked by tokens, requests or cost. Daily, hourly and per-minute time buckets support time series. Console access needs an administrative credential. Enterprise organizations instead use an analytics key created by the primary owner after analytics access has been enabled.[1]
Cloud access follows regional authorization
Claude Platform on AWS (Amazon Web Services) uses that cloud’s authentication and authorization rather than an Admin API key. Each request covers workspaces in the region of the endpoint called, so wider coverage requires calls to the relevant regions. The Anthropic-managed service on Google Cloud also has separate usage and cost permissions. Earlier Console and Enterprise reporting endpoints remain supported under a legacy designation, with migration guidance for existing integrations.[1]
