Deliveroo riders see the fall in their own ledgers while the pay calculation stays hidden

Finland puts a single landscape budget on the clearcutting argument
The Jyväskylä team turns the decline of old-growth birds into a single accounting line: about 10 percent of the forest landscape over 10 years. The figure applies across a whole landscape and a whole decade, with individual cutting sites folded into that cumulative budget.

In the first ten days of the subsidised sale, 4,000 tonnes of buffer onion went to 17 cities while the all-India retail average climbed from 48.5 to 50.79 rupees a kilogram. The tonnage measures what moved. Which household stood within reach of a counter is a separate question.
OPEC+ held the quota, and the diesel reaching Europe came from Indian refineries
The seven OPEC+ countries carried September's required production into October and set their next meeting for 4 October. Across August about 200,000 barrels a day of diesel crossed Bab el-Mandeb towards Europe, and Indian refineries supplied roughly 60 per cent of it. Russia's seaborne diesel exports, meanwhile, averaged around 150,000 barrels a day over the first 25 days of the month.
Pontianak’s roads look clearer while smoke lingers
Rain improved visibility and activity resumed in Pontianak. Persistent smoke and residents’ accounts of breathing difficulties across the region leave the health meaning of that relief unresolved.
