Chariklo's inner ring looks denser in JWST chords than earlier averages
An arXiv HTML preprint of a JWST stellar occultation of Chariklo on 18 October 2022 reports inner-ring normal opacity of 0.431 plus or minus 0.012 versus a pre-JWST average of 0.303 plus or minus 0.028. Ars Technica Science RSS on 19 September said Chariklo is about 250 km across, has two rings, and that those rings are changing. The live Ars page returned HTTP 403.
Chicago's Coco robot stack was labelled a pavement-deployment fault
A Fox News report said runner Becca Ostien came upon no fewer than twelve Coco delivery machines stacked on pavement along North Clark by Lincoln Park. The company labelled a pavement-deployment fault, said staff pulled the machines off in minutes, and said routing had been patched.

The Decoder wrote that Robocurve's RoboHarm test gave Claude Fable 5.1, GPT-6 Astra and MolmoAct2 5 hazardous commands, 20 times each, on I2RT-YAM arms, 300 human-reviewed trials. Astra completed 60 hazardous tasks in 100 trials and stopped on safety grounds only 2 times, stabbing a doll in 17 of 20 attempts. AI Daily Post, reporting the same benchmark, wrote that Fable refused all 20 doll trials but none of the other four tasks and that MolmoAct2 refused nothing.
