Born to Do It heads to Australia
Craig David has announced Australian dates for his Born to Do It tour.[1], [2]
MG Live and Frontier Touring announced five concerts for May 2027. The singer is scheduled to perform his debut album in full with a live band, alongside other songs. Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall opens the run on 22 May 2027, followed by Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on 23 May 2027 and Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre on 26 May 2027.[1]
London shows prompted the world tour
The Australian itinerary continues at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on 28 May 2027 and ends at Perth HPC on 29 May 2027. David said two concerts at London’s Hammersmith Apollo earlier this year marked the first time he played the album from start to finish with his band. He said those performances led him to take the show around the world.[1]
The debut album remains the programme’s centre
Born to Do It was released in 2000. According to the organisers, it reached number one in the United Kingdom and number two on Australia’s album chart, remaining on the UK chart for more than seventy weeks. A twenty-fifth anniversary reissue appeared in December 2025, with B-sides and remixes added to the digital edition, including Apartment 543 and Human. David’s ninth and latest studio album, Commitment, also features in the announcement’s repertoire context.[1]
