Eight actors join the third season

The Gentlemen, the Netflix series created by Guy Ritchie, has begun third-season production with Robert Carlyle, Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom among its new cast members. Filming is taking place in the United Kingdom and Morocco. The casting announcement brings the three actors into a series whose returning leads are Theo James as Eddie and Kaya Scodelario as Susie. The new arrivals join an ensemble that includes several performers from the earlier seasons.[1], [2]

The full list of additions also includes Dexter Fletcher, Bruna Marquezine, Ed Speleers, Saffron Burrows and Bugzy Malone. Netflix announced eight new performers in total. A short production teaser accompanied the announcement, which set out both the expanded cast and the central direction of the new story. The season’s filming locations span the United Kingdom and Morocco, while the announced plot takes Eddie and Susie towards a venture in the Middle East.[1]

Eddie and Susie plan a casino

In the announced third-season synopsis, Eddie and Susie embark on a plan to build a casino in the Middle East. Ritchie describes the season as expanding the show’s world and increasing the weight of its consequences. James and Scodelario continue in the two central roles as the story follows their partnership into this new undertaking. The casino is the project named in the synopsis accompanying the cast announcement.[1]

Returning performers include Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones and Jasmine Blackborow. Harry Goodwins and Benjamin Clementine are also part of the cast. Maya Jama returns as Aisha, the well-connected fixer she began playing in the second season. The returning group therefore sits alongside the eight additions rather than being replaced by the newly announced actors.[1]

New cast members bring film and television credits

Carlyle’s earlier credits include Line of Duty and Hack, while Wood appeared in Yellowjackets. Fletcher’s work includes Band of Brothers and Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Speleers and Burrows both appeared in You. Marquezine starred in Blue Beetle, and Bugzy Malone appeared in Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. Among the returning leads, James’s work includes The Monkey and The White Lotus, and Scodelario’s includes Senna and Crawl. Winstone’s credits include Sexy Beast and Nil By Mouth.[1]
