Sandra Wollner’s Everytime wins Alice nella Città’s best film prize
Sandra Wollner’s Everytime won best film at Alice nella Città in Rome, selected by a jury of young people aged 16 to 19. The festival also awarded the Raffaella Fioretta prize for Panorama Italia to Giacomo Mazzariol’s Senza chiedere permesso, while Lorenzo Maria Chierici’s Figli perduti won the section’s audience prize. The young jury’s choice decided the leading award in a festival focused on films for children and young people.

Everytime takes the young jury’s top prize
Sandra Wollner’s Everytime won best film at the 24th Alice nella Città in Rome. A jury of 35 young people aged 16 to 19 selected the winner. Alice nella Città is a youth cinema event held alongside, but separately from, the Rome Film Festival. Everytime’s prize therefore belongs to a different competition from the Rome Film Festival’s own best film award announced in the same period.[1], [2]
The jury highlights loss and renewal
In explaining its choice, the jury emphasized how Everytime treats loss and the possibility of renewal. It singled out the film’s symbolic detail in everyday scenes and the way its visual approach asks viewers to engage with the characters. The jury gave Kohei Kadowaki’s We Are Aliens a special mention for its rotoscoping and its treatment of difference. That recognition was separate from the best film prize awarded to Wollner’s work.[1]
Panorama Italia names separate winners
Giacomo Mazzariol’s Senza chiedere permesso received the Raffaella Fioretta prize for Italian cinema. Lorenzo Maria Chierici’s Figli perduti won the Panorama Italia audience award, and its actor Matteo Oscar Giuggioli received the U.N.I.T.A. Under 35 Award. These honors are part of the same Alice nella Città results. They identify other winning films and performances without altering the youth jury’s principal choice of Everytime.[1], [2]
