Dell lifts its full-year outlook to 192 billion dollars of revenue

Dell Technologies lifted its full-year revenue outlook to 192 billion dollars after second-quarter revenue of 47.0 billion dollars, up 58 per cent, and record non-GAAP diluted earnings of 7.04 dollars a share. The company booked 60.9 billion dollars of AI server orders, recognised 16.4 billion dollars of AI server revenue and closed the quarter with a 95 billion dollars backlog. Shares rose more than 6 per cent in late trading after the results beat sales and earnings forecasts.

Dell posted 47.0 billion dollars of revenue and 7.04 dollars a share

Dell Technologies reported second-quarter revenue of 47.0 billion dollars, up 58 per cent. Non-GAAP diluted earnings were 7.04 dollars a share, up 203 per cent. A 46.97 billion dollars sales figure sat above forecasts of 44.92 billion dollars and 4.92 dollars a share. Net profit climbed to 4.13 billion dollars from 1.16 billion dollars. Dell closed the quarter with record revenue and record earnings.[1], [2]

Dell raised full-year revenue to 192.0 billion dollars and AI servers to 74.0 billion dollars

Dell booked 60.9 billion dollars of AI server orders, recognised 16.4 billion dollars of AI server revenue and closed the quarter with a 95 billion dollars backlog. Infrastructure Solutions Group revenue reached 31.8 billion dollars, up 89 per cent, with operating income of 4.8 billion dollars, up 225 per cent, while client solutions revenue rose 20 per cent to 15.0 billion dollars. Dell raised its full-year revenue guidance to 192.0 billion dollars and its AI-optimised server revenue guidance to 74.0 billion dollars from 60.0 billion dollars. The full-year outlook moved to 25.50 dollars a share on 192 billion dollars of revenue, from 17.90 dollars and 165 billion dollars. Cash flow from operations was 2.2 billion dollars, down 13 per cent from a year earlier.[1], [2]

Dell shares rose more than 6 per cent after hours as third-quarter sales were guided to 49 billion dollars

Dell shares had fallen more than 6 per cent in the regular session before the report and rose more than 6 per cent in late trading. The shares remain up 236 per cent this year. Dell guided to 6.50 dollars a share on sales of 49 billion dollars at the midpoint for the third quarter, against a consensus of 4.49 dollars on 41.42 billion dollars. Chief Operating Officer Jeff Clarke told analysts the company raised its annual guidance after lifting prices to reflect rising component costs. Dell lifted its full-year outlook to 192 billion dollars of revenue.[1], [2]
