A fifth consecutive stronger fix

The Edge Malaysia writes that the People’s Bank of China printed a Tuesday dollar reference for the yuan at 6.7670. That is session five of a stronger print, the longest such run since December 2025. CFETS showed 100 US radar dollars at 676.70 yuan. The card does not claim how the market closed or that the central bank has a hidden target. The figure is the published fix.[1]

What the paper attributes to Bloomberg

The Edge, citing a Bloomberg survey, said the fix sat 602 pips below the survey mean. The radar onshore yuan may move at most 2 percent from the fixing. Comment that ties the streak to a 24 September Xi-Trump meeting stays labelled as interpretation. The 602 pips and the crosses are The Edge’s relay; a Bloomberg URL is not on the source list.[1]

One Tuesday fix

The 6.7670 reference and the 676.70 yuan table sit in the same Edge report. Reuters and the South China Morning Post pages and feeds on 15 September did not carry their own matching Tuesday-fix headline. The card does not treat the five-day run as a rate decision or an FX-intervention announcement. The reference is the PBOC’s printed rate. The second-publisher check was empty.[1]
