Trafigura plans an Oslo listing for tanker company Volare
Trafigura placed 14 supertankers under a new company, Volare Shipping, and plans to raise about 500 million dollars before those shares trade on Euronext Growth Oslo around 5 October. Six of the very large crude carriers are already on the water and eight are still on order. Trafigura will remain the majority shareholder. The listing still needs a completed share sale and approval from the Oslo exchange.

The fleet
Trafigura placed 14 supertankers under Volare Shipping. Six of the very large crude carriers are already on the water and eight remain on order. The company will own, operate and scale that fleet, with commercial management staying inside Trafigura's shipping business. That split is the fleet the proposed listing is meant to carry into the market.[1], [2]
The raise
The plan is to raise about 500 million dollars before the shares trade on Euronext Growth Oslo around 5 October. E24 reported a subscription price of 154 Norwegian kroner and a ticker of VLCC, with bookbuilding running from 21 September toward the afternoon of 23 September. Both accounts name that October window as the target for the first trade.[1], [2]
What is still open
Trafigura will remain the majority shareholder. The listing still needs a completed share sale and approval from the Oslo exchange, so the October date is a target rather than a completed debut. The other eight ships are due between May 2027 and October 2028. Neither account says the shares have started trading.[1], [2]
