Accenture revenue passes its forecast ceiling as bookings reach $22.17bn

Revenue clears the earlier forecast range
Accenture, a consulting and managed-services company, released fourth-quarter fiscal results on 1 October for the period ended 31 August. Revenue rose to about $18.7 billion and diluted earnings reached $3.29 per share. Both exceeded consensus estimates. The company’s revenue total was above its earlier forecast ceiling, with growth across its work types and geographic markets. The quarterly figures reflect completed business during that reporting period.[1], [2]
Managed services lead new bookings
New bookings totaled $22.17 billion, including $9.40 billion in consulting and $12.77 billion in managed services. Consulting revenue was $9.28 billion, against $9.40 billion for managed services. Total quarterly revenue was $18.68 billion, up 6 percent in dollars and 7 percent in local currencies. The prior guidance range was $17.75 billion to $18.40 billion. The currency effect reduced revenue by about 0.8 percent, compared with an earlier assumption of 0.5 percent.[1]
Annual cash flow reaches $11.6bn
Full-year revenue reached $74.2 billion and free cash flow was $11.6 billion. The company returned $11.5 billion to shareholders, including $7.5 billion through share repurchases or redemptions. Annual new bookings totaled $84.5 billion. For fiscal 2027, management forecasts local-currency revenue growth of 3–6 percent and diluted earnings per share of $14.39 to $14.81. It also projects at least $9.5 billion in cash returned to shareholders. These are management expectations for the coming year.[1]
