Regions lifts common-shareholder profit to 611 million dollars
Regions Financial earned third-quarter profit of 611 million dollars available to common shareholders. Adjusted earnings per share beat the Zacks consensus estimate, although revenue missed expectations. Higher interest income and fees supported results, and credit-loss provisions fell. Lending increased modestly at the end of September, while deposits declined and the bank continued returning capital through dividends and share repurchases.
