The stake sale contributes to a return to profit
Le Travenues Technology, the Indian company operating the ixigo travel-booking brand, reported a consolidated profit for July–September, the second quarter of its 2026–27 financial year. It had made a loss in the corresponding period a year earlier. The results were published on 17 October.[1], [2]
A partial sale of the company’s investment in Freshbus contributed to net profit. Management described quarterly profit after tax as an all-time high for the company. The reported result includes the effect of that stake transaction alongside the performance of its booking operations.[1]
Operating revenue rises 13 per cent
Operating revenue increased 13 per cent from the corresponding quarter a year earlier. Gross transaction value, measuring the total value of transactions handled by the company, rose 22 per cent. Total expenses also increased year on year. Revenue and transaction value measure different quantities in the results: the former captures operating income, while the latter describes the value of bookings handled through the platform.[1]
Hotel transaction value is disclosed separately for the first time
Gross transaction value for hotel bookings was disclosed as a separate business line for the first time. It rose 159 per cent from the corresponding quarter a year earlier, making hotels the fastest-growing business line by transaction value. Management identified hotels and artificial intelligence as key areas for long-term growth and said investment in both was continuing.[1]
