SLB increased third-quarter revenue as a full quarter of ChampionX activity added to the comparison. Reported net income nevertheless fell slightly, and adjusted earnings remained below their year-earlier level. Revenue growth was smaller when the acquisition was excluded. The oilfield-services group also reported operating cash generation and the charges separating its reported and adjusted results.

Revenue rises from both comparison periods
Oilfield-services company SLB released third-quarter results on 23 October, reporting revenue growth from both a year earlier and the preceding quarter.[1], [2]
Revenue reached 9.449 billion dollars, up 6 per cent annually and 5 per cent from the second quarter. Net income attributable to SLB slipped 1 per cent from a year earlier to 735 million dollars. Reported diluted earnings per share fell from 0.50 dollars to 0.49 dollars.[1]
ChampionX adds a full quarter of revenue
ChampionX, the business SLB acquired in July 2025, contributed 956 million dollars of revenue. Its contribution a year earlier covered two months and totaled 579 million dollars. Excluding the acquisition, global revenue grew 2 per cent. International revenue was unchanged on that basis, while North American revenue increased 13 per cent.[1]
Adjusted earnings exclude pension and merger charges
Adjusted earnings per share reached 0.64 dollars, above the previous quarter’s 0.55 dollars but below the year-earlier 0.69 dollars. The adjustments excluded a 187 million dollar pretax pension-settlement charge and 55 million dollars of merger costs. Operating activities generated 1.51 billion dollars in cash, while free cash flow was 828 million dollars and capital investments totaled 682 million dollars.[1]
