Six dead in Belgorod and two in Sumy overnight
Alexander Shuvaev, acting governor of Russia's Belgorod region, said on Telegram that overnight Ukrainian missile strikes killed six people and injured four, among them a 14-year-old child. Shuvaev said the strikes burned a building and damaged a car in Koloskovo village in the Valuysky district near the Ukrainian border. Ukrainian officials said two people were killed in overnight Russian drone strikes on the Sumy region, close to the border with Russia. The BBC report also carried Igor Babushkin, governor of Russia's Astrakhan region, saying a woman was killed when a drone hit a home there, and Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa regional administration, reporting an overnight attack on the Black Sea port that damaged a civilian vessel and injured four people. Ukraine's defence ministry said seven of the ten largest logistics centres of Wildberries, Russia's biggest online retailer, had been disabled. Maj Gen Vadym Skibitski, deputy chief of Ukraine's military intelligence, argued that civilians are not deliberately targeted and that some deaths follow from air defences downing incoming munitions.[1]
