61 additions, 5 removals

The United Nations human rights office on Friday assessed 126 businesses and added 61 more companies. The list now stands at 214 businesses in 11 countries. 5 of the 158 companies listed last year were removed.[1]

Spanish firm Salvat Logistica and the Israeli real-estate holding Alony Hetz are among the companies added. Expedia, Trip Advisor, Airbnb and Motorola were already on the list.[1]

A reasonable-grounds test

The office requires a company to be engaged in at least one of 10 activities, including settlement construction, surveillance equipment, banking and utilities. The standard of proof is reasonable grounds, below the standard of a criminal court.[1]

What Friday's update does is publish the company's name against that test. A bank or a buyer that walks away after seeing the name is making its own commercial decision.[1]
