A 2,320-accession peanut pangenome split flowering and dwarf genes
Nature Genetics and Murdoch University reported a pan-genome of 2,320 peanut accessions that separated flowering and dwarfism loci. Murdoch added that dwarf line LuAi-1 yielded about 20 per cent more under dense planting. That field figure is not in the journal summary. The paper appeared on 15 September Nature Genetics published on 15 September Dense planting yield is about 20 per cent higher in Murdoch's account.

Two thousand three hundred and twenty accessions
Nature Genetics reported a pan-genome built with 10 newly assembled genomes, plus resequencing of 2,320 peanut accessions, that separated loci for flowering and dwarfism. Murdoch University gave the same count and the 15 September date. A Shandong-led team ran the work The same two publishers stay on this event and do not import a second story. LuAi-1 under dense planting
Murdoch said the dwarf line LuAi-1 yielded about 20 per cent more under dense planting. It described a 14-genome graph pan-genome covering six botanical varieties and most ICRISAT and USDA core holdings. Homoeologous exchange
Murdoch said flowering-position and height genes had been mixed by homoeologous exchange and that the map pulled them apart. Nature also keeps flowering and dwarfism as separate traits. The 20 per cent figure is Murdoch's field claim; the journal summary does not repeat it The same two publishers stay on this event and do not import a second story.
