Progress 96 docked at Poisk with about 3 tons for Expedition 75

NASA's space-station blog said the Roscosmos Progress 96 cargo craft docked to the space-facing Poisk port on 19 September 2026, delivering about 3 tons of food, fuel and supplies for Expedition 75. Space.com reported the same dock day and about 3 tons after a three-day chase from a 16 September Baikonur launch. Mark A. Garcia wrote that the spacecraft launched on 16 September from Baikonur on a Soyuz rocket.

Dock at Poisk on 19 September

NASA's space-station blog said Progress 96 docked to the space-facing Poisk port on 19 September 2026. Space.com reported the same dock day at the space-facing Poisk port. Both said the cargo was about 3 tons of food, fuel and supplies for Expedition 75.[1], [2]

A 16 September Baikonur launch

Mark A. Garcia wrote that the spacecraft launched on 16 September on a Soyuz rocket from Baikonur. Space.com wrote that Progress 96 launched from Baikonur on 16 September and docked after a three-day chase. Mike Wall wrote that the docking came after that chase.[1], [2]

About five months on station, then a destructive re-entry

Garcia wrote that Progress 96 will remain about five months before a destructive re-entry that disposes of trash. Space.com also said the craft will stay about five months before burning up with trash. The NASA blog is a station operations note. Space.com named the seven-person Expedition crew. Both outlets keep the same five-month stay before the craft burns with trash.[1], [2]
