NASA scheduled low FarmFlux flights over Colorado farmland
NASA said the FarmFlux mission has scheduled low-altitude flights near Greeley for October 2026, with sensors for ozone, methane, ammonia and particulates. A Dynamic Aviation A200 is to fly the Colorado series, led with Goddard, Colorado State University and Boston University. K99 reported the same low-altitude flights near Greeley in October 2026.

Flights are set near Greeley in October 2026
The FarmFlux mission said it has scheduled low-altitude flights near Greeley for October 2026 with more than 12 sensors. The list includes ozone, methane, ammonia and particulates. The 23 September release by Gianine Figliozzi says a Dynamic Aviation A200 aircraft is to measure emissions over farmland. K99 reported that NASA will conduct low-altitude FarmFlux research flights over farmland near Greeley, Colorado, in October 2026.[1], [2]
Three institutions run the mission jointly
The mission is jointly led by NASA Goddard, Colorado State University and Boston University. The Colorado series is the first flight series. Further flights over Amarillo, Texas, are scheduled from late October into early November. A NASA P-3 Orion series over the Midwest and California's Central Valley is also on the calendar for 2027. This is a flight plan. It is not yet an emissions measurement.[1]
Later series are planned for Texas and 2027
NASA names the aircraft, the sensors and the later Texas and 2027 series. K99 names the place and the month: farmland near Greeley in October 2026, as part of the FarmFlux agricultural emissions mission. The two pages agree that the flights are scheduled. The 23 September release names more than 12 sensors and a P-3 Orion series in 2027, and K99 names October 2026. NASA's 23 September release names Gianine Figliozzi, a Dynamic Aviation A200, and more than 12 sensors for ozone, methane, ammonia and particulates. The Colorado series near Greeley is the first, set for October 2026. Later flights over Amarillo, Texas, run from late October into early November. A P-3 Orion series over the Midwest and California's Central Valley is on the 2027 calendar. K99 reports the same low-altitude FarmFlux flights over farmland near Greeley in October 2026. The pages describe a schedule. They do not report a completed emissions measurement.[1], [2]
