Amazon expands drone delivery to 500 communities

Amazon says its Prime Air service will reach nearly 500 towns and cities in the United States by the end of this year. The Chicago, Syracuse, Cleveland, Atlanta and Boise metro areas join the 11 locations where the service already operates. Each Prime Air site covers roughly 450 square kilometres, carrying packages that weigh up to 2.3 kilograms. Most orders arrive about 60 minutes after checkout, and the expansion reaches communities where the aircraft have already drawn complaints.[1]

Adobe gives Workfront tasks to named-permission agents

Adobe has added a layer it calls AI Collaborators to Workfront, its marketing workflow product. Agents can be assigned tasks alongside human teams and handed briefs, brand guidelines and messaging requirements as context. The agents operate under role-based permissions, and their activity stays logged inside Workfront. The listed jobs include generating marketing copy and checking brand compliance. The company gave no general availability date.[2]

Block bundles seven agents in an open-source desktop app

Berd, the desktop agent app Block built for its own staff, reached v0.6.2 on August 18. The release bundles seven ready-made agents, among them Agt Builder, Choosey, Copycat, Pushback, Tinker and Wildcard. The repository is open under the Apache 2.0 licence, and the app runs as a native desktop program rather than in a browser. Block does not accept pull requests from outside the repository's collaborators and points contributors to bug reports instead.[3]
