Nvidia holds separate talks involving Perplexity and Rebellions
Nvidia's possible Perplexity investment and Rebellions talks remain unfinished. The reports put two separate options in AI search and inference hardware into view on the same day.

A possible investment in Perplexity
Yahoo Finance reports that Nvidia is discussing a multibillion-dollar investment round in AI search company Perplexity. The report puts the company's valuation above 30 billion dollars in value, more than 50 per cent above its last round. Nvidia and Perplexity did not respond to requests for comment. The account rests on a publication's sources rather than an official announcement. The report says there is no certainty that talks will close. It also says Nvidia had previously considered licensing Perplexity technology and hiring from its team.[1]
Rebellions is an inference-hardware option
A separate Yahoo Finance report says Nvidia is in early discussions with Rebellions, which designs neural processing units for data centres, about a technical partnership, investment or acquisition. Rebellions designs products for inference workloads. The report says the company has raised about 850 million dollars and reached a 2.34 billion dollars in value. Sources say there is no certainty that any transaction will occur. Because South Korea treats semiconductors as critical assets, regulatory scrutiny is expected if discussions progress.[2]
The outcome of both talks is uncertain
The Perplexity report concerns a possible investment in AI search, while the Rebellions report lists partnership, investment or acquisition possibilities in inference hardware. Both reports stress that discussions are early and their outcomes uncertain. The developments are not two completed Nvidia deals. The reports published on the same day describe options the company is considering in different AI fields. Neither party has announced a transaction.[1], [2]
