NEURA and SECO join forces to make robot computing hardware in Europe
NEURA Robotics and SECO announced a partnership to develop and manufacture electronic compute modules for NEURA robots, including the 4NE1 humanoid. Qualcomm Dragonwing processors will serve the robots’ distributed computing architecture. The companies plan to scale series production in Europe, develop automation for semiconductor and electronics factories, and establish a robot training hub in Italy.

SECO will develop compute modules for 4NE1
NEURA Robotics and SECO announced a partnership covering the design, engineering and manufacture of electronic compute modules for NEURA robots. The 4NE1 humanoid is among the machines covered. SECO will work on the modules that provide the robots’ computing hardware. The companies intend to develop and produce that hardware in Europe and support larger-scale European production of NEURA robots. The companies describe expanded series production as a goal of their partnership; the announcement does not yet report completed production results.[1], [2]
Dragonwing will join the robots’ distributed computing architecture
The modules will use Qualcomm Dragonwing processors within NEURA’s distributed robot computing architecture. SECO’s contribution runs from module design through manufacturing, while NEURA supplies the robotic platforms in which those components will be used. The announced scope extends beyond the 4NE1 humanoid to other NEURA robots.[1], [2]
A robot training hub is planned in Italy
The companies also plan AI automation for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, using data collected from real production environments. Their proposed next steps include a NEURA Gym in Italy. The robot training hub has not yet opened. Collecting production data and developing factory automation remain planned parts of the collaboration, rather than results from an operating Italian training centre.[2]
