Grok Team Bots opens shared agents for team workflows

SpaceXAI opened Team Bots in public beta, letting coworkers use a Grok Bot configured with common files, instructions and application connections. A person can talk privately with the shared agent, while the same bot can also answer in a visible Slack channel. The company says personal conversations and memories remain separate from the team's shared setup. Availability is for Teams and Enterprise plans. This release changes how existing bots are shared across a group; it does not introduce a new underlying Grok model.

Team Bots enters shared workspaces

SpaceXAI opened Team Bots in public beta on September 28 for teams using Grok Bot. Coworkers can configure one agent with shared files, instructions, skills and application connections for a common task. AgentRiot also reported the Teams and Enterprise availability and the bot's use in Slack channels. The change moves an existing Grok Bot into a shared workflow after its earlier individual use. The announcement does not introduce a new underlying Grok model.[1], [2]

Shared skills, separate conversations

A team can connect plugins for applications such as Salesforce, Notion and GitHub. Credentials can also be configured for a service without a plugin. SpaceXAI says files and skills are shared, while each member's one-to-one conversation and personal memories stay separate. That distinction matters when coworkers use the same bot without making every private exchange visible to the group. The launch description alone does not fully specify how every connected application's permissions will work for each employee.[1]

Slack makes shared replies visible

A Team Bot invited into a Slack channel can answer questions that coworkers ask and see together. A visible channel reply differs from a private one-to-one conversation with that bot. SpaceXAI offers prepared examples for sales, marketing, product management and data analysis. They illustrate intended workflows rather than independently measured productivity gains across typical teams. The beta is available on Teams and Enterprise plans. Teams still choose which shared instructions and connections to grant to the bot they create.[1]
