Meta brings its task-running Muse assistant to iPad

Meta has released a dedicated iPad app for Muse, its personal AI agent, about a month after its phone debut. The update also adds connections to office services including design, accounting and meeting tools. Users choose which accounts to connect. Muse can then help with tasks such as reservations and shopping through the access they grant; some websites still block automated visits.

Muse moves from phones to a dedicated tablet app

Meta released a dedicated iPad application for Muse, its personal AI agent, on October 7. The assistant can carry out tasks through connected services. The tablet version follows the phone applications introduced in September and gives the service a native presence on another device.[1], [2]

Muse reached iOS and Android on September 8, with a Mac app appearing before the tablet release. Sensor Tower, which tracks app usage, estimates installations since launch at more than 6.6 million. The agent’s listed tasks range from managing email and meetings to reservations, purchases and personal goals.[1]

New connections reach office and business services

The update expands the services users can connect. Canva and Figma cover design work, QuickBooks covers accounting, while Asana and Zoom add task and meeting services. GitHub, Dropbox, Klaviyo, Meta ad accounts, Notion and Granola also join the connection list. Users sign into the accounts they choose to give Muse access.[1]

Shopping tasks still depend on website access

Retail connections include Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart and Wayfair, where the agent can attempt shopping transactions on a user’s behalf. Some websites treat agents as unwanted bots and block visits, limiting those workflows. Muse’s authority depends on the connected accounts and permissions the user provides.[1]
