Tools selected for the second startup programme

South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups has selected 103 AI solutions from 50 suppliers for the second Startups for All programme. The ministry announced the completed selection on October 11. The programme supports people developing business ideas with training, mentoring and staged assistance. Participants who pass its first round can use the selected tools within a limit of 1 million won per person.[1], [2]

The first cohort had access to approximately 400 solutions from about 280 suppliers. For the second cohort, an evaluation committee comprising AI and software experts directly used the candidate tools. It assessed their versatility, technical and price suitability, and security.[1]

Website building and contract drafting are covered

The selected solutions cover market research, content creation and service development. Their uses include building websites that introduce products or services, generating product images and promotional material, and drafting contracts. Cho Kyung-won, the ministry’s director for startup policy, said the aim was to help participants refine their ideas and turn them into products and services.[1], [3]

Applications are scheduled for October 16

The ministry has set October 12 for publishing the selected-tool list on the programme’s platform. Descriptions of each solution’s main functions and instructions for use are scheduled for October 14. Applications to use the tools are due to open on October 16, together with explanatory videos. Selection and access therefore follow the programme’s separately announced dates.[3], [2]
