Torino pairs the award with a screening

Pamela Anderson will receive the Stella della Mole lifetime achievement award at the Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy. She will join an onstage conversation before introducing a special screening of The Last Showgirl, directed by Gia Coppola.[1], [2]

Italy’s National Film Museum organises the festival, which runs from 24 November to 2 December. It gives space to young filmmakers and independent cinema in its 44th edition.[1]

The Last Showgirl draws renewed recognition

Artistic director Giulio Base linked the tribute to Anderson’s acting in The Last Showgirl, praising the sensitivity of her performance and saying it let audiences rediscover a familiar figure. The role earned her a 2025 Golden Globe nomination. Earlier recipients of the Torino honour include director Spike Lee and actors Antonio Banderas, Angelina Jolie and Sharon Stone.[1]

New films follow the award-nominated role

Since The Last Showgirl, Anderson has appeared opposite Liam Neeson in the reboot of The Naked Gun and in Karim Aïnouz’s family satire Rosebush Pruning. She attended the Venice Film Festival in September with Place to Be, a road film directed by Kornél Mundruczó. That production also features Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi and Murray Bartlett.[1]
