Credit Suisse file at the Australian insurer is still open
IAG answered an AFR report that a Greensill trade-credit deal with Credit Suisse was done. The group said a settlement has not been finalised and that it does not discuss confidential litigation talks. Insurance Business carried the same Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) note, including no material FY27 impact and expected recoveries.

A denial of a finished deal
Bloomberg reported Insurance Australia Group answering a 21 September Australian Financial Review story that said IAG and Credit Suisse had reached a settlement. IAG said a settlement has not been finalised. It also said it does not comment on confidential talks among parties to the case. The live fact is an open proceeding, not a signed close-out.[1]
What the ASX note repeats
Insurance Business, dated 21 September, quoted the CEO-authorised ASX note. The Credit Suisse case concerns trade-credit policies said to have been issued by BCC Trade Credit around Greensill entities. IAG restated no material impact on its financial position or FY27 results. It cited expected insurance, reinsurance and indemnity recoveries. The same note recalled a May 2026 confidential settlement with Greensill Bank AG on claims with a face value of about 4 billion dollars.[2]
Court time, still no close
IAG said it does not comment on confidential discussions between parties to litigation. Insurance Business still treats the Credit Suisse case as unfinished. IAG says a settlement has not been finalised. The ASX note repeats no material FY27 impact.[1], [2]
