Bavarian Nordic lifts its outlook on stronger rabies-vaccine sales

Bavarian Nordic raised its 2026 revenue outlook to about 6.1 billion Danish kroner and its EBITDA-margin forecast to 32 per cent. The vaccine company attributed the upgrade to stronger travel-health sales, particularly rabies vaccines in the United States. Its public-preparedness revenue assumption stayed unchanged. The new forecasts replace the August outlook, while the company says its other underlying assumptions remain in place.

The annual revenue outlook rises to 6.1 billion kroner

Bavarian Nordic, a Danish vaccine company, raised its 2026 revenue and earnings-margin forecasts on October 8.[1], [2]

The company now expects revenue of approximately 6.1 billion Danish kroner, compared with about 5.7 billion kroner in its August 21 guidance. Its forecast EBITDA margin, measuring earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation relative to revenue, rises from about 30 per cent to 32 per cent.[1]

Rabies-vaccine demand lifts travel-health sales

Travel Health revenue guidance increased from approximately 3.0 billion kroner to 3.4 billion kroner. Bavarian Nordic attributes the increase mainly to stronger rabies-vaccine sales, particularly in the United States. It says more animal rabies activity has increased human exposure and demand for vaccination both before and after exposure.[1]

Public-preparedness expectations stay unchanged

The Public Preparedness business retains its approximately 2.5 billion kroner revenue outlook, with roughly 2.4 billion kroner already secured in orders. Other revenue remains 200 million kroner. Bavarian Nordic says other assumptions underlying the annual forecast remain unchanged. The new guidance replaces its August baseline. The change leaves the Public Preparedness and other-revenue assumptions at the levels set in August.[1]
