DKSH signs for all NewBridge shares
DKSH, the market expansion services group, signed an agreement to acquire all of NewBridge Pharmaceuticals on October 19. The Dubai-based business commercialises specialty and rare-disease medicines across the Middle East and North Africa. The transaction would take DKSH Healthcare beyond its Asia Pacific base into a new region.[1], [2]
DKSH’s announcement puts the enterprise value at 390 million dollars.[1]
NewBridge operates in 14 regional markets
Founded in Dubai in 2010, NewBridge operates in 14 markets, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Its services include market access, medical affairs and sales-force support for pharmaceutical companies. The portfolio spans oncology, neurology, immunology, gastroenterology and rare diseases. The current multinational management team is expected to join DKSH as part of the acquisition.[1]
Regulatory approvals govern the 2027 timetable
DKSH plans to finance the transaction with debt and expects completion by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary conditions including regulatory approvals. It forecasts around 385 million dollars in NewBridge net sales for 2027 and a high single-digit margin before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation. Those projections concern future operations; ownership has not yet transferred under the signed agreement.[1]
