Huawei’s HIMA sees October deliveries halve from a year earlier
Huawei-led automotive alliance HIMA delivered 33,537 vehicles in October, down 50.84 per cent from a year earlier. October volume falls to 33,537
Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), the automotive alliance led by Huawei, delivered 33,537 vehicles in October. The alliance’s monthly announcement showed a fall from both September and the same month last year.[1], [2]
Year-to-date growth turns negative
October deliveries fell 50.84 per cent year-on-year and 10.54 per cent month-on-month. HIMA had delivered 68,216 vehicles in October last year and 37,490 in September this year. This was its fifth consecutive annual decline and fourth sequential decline, leaving monthly volume at its lowest since April. The annual contraction widened from September’s 29.15 per cent. January–October deliveries totalled 400,766 vehicles, down 3.91 per cent annually, after growth of 5.27 per cent over the first nine months.[1]
Alliance-wide figures as Aito cooperation changes
HIMA said cumulative deliveries exceeded 1.6 million vehicles, without providing an October breakdown by brand or model. Aito, its first brand, remains within the alliance as Huawei and Aito manufacturer Seres adjust their cooperation. Their proposed arrangement gives Seres the leading role with Huawei’s support in product definition, design, marketing, retail and service. The companies signed a five-year agreement on September 30. Luxeed, Stelato, Maextro and Shangjie were outside this round of cooperation changes.[1]
