More than 50 fires break out in southern Thailand within four hours
Thailand's Internal Security Operations Command said more than 50 fires and incendiary attacks were carried out in the southern border provinces within four hours on Saturday evening. Most occurred in Narathiwat, with others in Yala and Pattani; a local government office, a convenience store, a stolen vehicle and telecommunications towers were among the targets set alight. The Bangkok Post reported that two women were injured in an explosion in Narathiwat's Muang district. No group claimed responsibility, no further attack was reported on Sunday, and a curfew in Narathiwat was lifted on Sunday morning.[1]
One person is killed in a strike near the Maghazi camp
The official Palestinian news agency Wafa reported an air strike on Sunday morning near Salah al-Din Street, close to the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Reporting from Deir el-Balah, an Al Jazeera correspondent said at least one person was killed and two were wounded; the report carried no comment from the Israeli military. A drone attack on the al-Hasanat family in Deir el-Balah one day earlier had killed one person and wounded several others. Casualty figures in Gaza are reported by Palestinian authorities and medical sources and cannot be independently verified.[2]
Roadblocks follow the stabbing near al-Auja
Israeli police and public broadcaster Kan said an Israeli man in his twenties was moderately wounded in a stabbing at a commercial complex near al-Auja in the eastern occupied West Bank. After authorities said the suspect had fled, Israeli forces set up roadblocks around al-Auja, searched homes and collected surveillance footage. On the same day, a 14-year-old Palestinian was critically wounded by Israeli gunfire during a military raid on Askar refugee camp near Nablus. United Nations data cited by Al Jazeera recorded 761 settler attacks in the West Bank during the first four months of 2026.[3]
