Iran's war-end terms reached Washington through Qatar
Mohsen Rezaei told Al Jazeera on 19 September that Qatar had relayed Iran's conditions for talks to end the war and that Tehran was waiting for Donald Trump's reply. He listed an end to the war on all fronts, release of frozen funds and an end to the naval blockade. Doha News, the Qatari publisher, reported the same interview and wrote that consultations with Doha remain active; it also quoted a 19 September Persian post in which he said seven conditions had been presented.

Conditions, through Qatar
In a Saturday interview with Al Jazeera Tehran bureau chief Nour Eddine Edghir, Rezaei said contact with mediator Qatar continued and that Tehran's conditions had been conveyed to Washington. Doha News reported the same claim: Qatar had already carried the terms and Tehran was waiting for Trump's reply. Neither report independently confirms that Qatar delivered the message or that the White House received it.[1], [2]
War, funds, blockade
Our conditions are an end to the war on all fronts, the release of our frozen funds and an end to the naval blockade, he told Al Jazeera. He argued that Trump's threats would not achieve results and that Tehran was prepared for a decisive war. He said Qatar and Pakistan had been working to re-establish talks since a memorandum of understanding expired last month.[1]
Seven conditions on X
Doha News wrote that consultations with Doha remain active. Rezaei later wrote on X that seven conditions had been presented for any negotiations. Doha News quotes that Persian post dated 19 September 2026 and notes his warning of a decisive war if fighting escalates. He listed release of frozen assets, lifting the US naval blockade, an end to attacks on Iranian territory, non-interference, and ending the war on all fronts including Lebanon.[2]
