A new deal through June 2031

United States forward Christian Pulisic has extended his contract with Italian football club AC Milan through 30 June 2031. The club confirmed the agreement on Friday, 30 October. The 28-year-old had been under contract until June 2027. His new deal adds four years beyond that expiry date, continuing a Milan career that began when he arrived from Chelsea in 2023.[1], [2]

Pulisic described feeling proud to sign again and said he felt strongly attached to Milan. In an interview on the club’s social media channels, he pointed to supporters’ backing through good and difficult periods. He said the city and club felt like home, that his family was happy there and that he wanted to spend the coming years at Milan.[1]

Forty-four goals since arriving in Milan

Pulisic joined Milan in July 2023 and has scored 44 goals in 141 appearances. He was the club’s leading scorer in the 2024–25 season. Before moving to Italy, he played for Borussia Dortmund in Germany and Chelsea in England, winning the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021. Injuries interrupted his progress during his time at the London club.[1]

The American missed most of Milan’s preseason following an injury sustained during the World Cup. He was gradually reintegrated into the side under coach Ruben Amorim. Pulisic has played both in the central attacking role behind the striker and out wide in Amorim’s team. His contract extension follows that return to first-team duties rather than a move to another club.[1]

His club commitment extends beyond another World Cup

Pulisic has also scored 33 goals in 90 appearances for the United States. He represented his country at the 2022 and 2026 World Cups. The new contract takes his club commitment beyond the next tournament. In explaining his decision, he described this period as the most important chapter of his life and spoke of wanting to continue helping Milan improve over the coming years. The signed agreement runs to 2031.[1]
