Vienna victory secures Turin return

Daniil Medvedev earned his seventh qualification for the Nitto Finals of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) after beating Adrian Mannarino in the Vienna quarter-finals. The season-ending event brings together leading players on the men’s professional tennis tour. Medvedev returns after missing the tournament in 2025.[1], [2]

The Association of Tennis Professionals, or ATP, confirmed that the 30-year-old had secured his place. The tournament will take place from 15–22 November at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. Medvedev previously qualified in six successive seasons from 2019 through 2024.[1]

Four titles mark Medvedev’s season

Medvedev has passed 50 wins in a season for the first time since 2023. Titles in Brisbane, Dubai, Hangzhou and Almaty have taken his tour-level career total to 25. It is his fourth season with at least four trophies. He also reached the Indian Wells Masters 1000 final after defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals.[1]

Former champion joins the qualified field

The 2020 champion was runner-up to Alexander Zverev in 2021 and holds 12 wins against 11 losses at the Finals. Zverev, Alcaraz and Ben Shelton have also qualified this year. Jannik Sinner earned a place but will miss the event through injury. The qualification race concludes after next week’s Paris Masters, the last Masters 1000 tournament of the season.[1]
