Galatasaray take an away win
Galatasaray defeated Konyaspor 4–0 away in the Süper Lig. Coach Okan Buruk spoke after the match about the team’s display and his use of the squad during a busy fixture schedule.[1], [2]
Buruk said the early set-piece goal helped his players settle. He acknowledged dangerous Konyaspor attacks in the first half, then described Galatasaray as more dominant after the interval, with more chances created and fewer conceded. He welcomed the players’ approach after their preceding victory over Fenerbahçe.[1]
Buruk sets out his substitution choices
The coach said he made five substitutions early to protect players against injury risks. Resting regular starters and increasing minutes for those used less often were both priorities. He also stressed balance in the dressing room. Buruk praised starters and substitutes alike, although all four attacking players had scored, and noted that replacements sometimes need time to adjust to one another.[1]
Singo completes his first match
Singo played 90 minutes on his first appearance, and Buruk said the staff would review video and give him feedback. Leão was not yet fully ready, according to the coach, after injuries before and after joining. Buruk said they were trying to use him appropriately and listed Yunus, Barış, Sané and Leão among his wide options. He dedicated the victory to the absent Abdülkerim Bardakcı, who comes from Konya.[1]
