Las Vegas recovers

Las Vegas Raiders recovered from a second-half deficit to beat New York Jets 38-33 in the US National Football League. The result ended the Raiders' four-game losing streak. New York had built a nine-point advantage, but Las Vegas overturned it and held on through the Jets' final attack at MetLife Stadium.[1], [2]

Cousins turns the score around

The Jets led 23-14 at half-time and 30-21 in the third quarter. They scored on their first six possessions, something the club had last achieved in 2008. Consecutive Raiders touchdowns, worth six points before the extra-point attempt, changed the lead. Kirk Cousins found Jalen Nailor in the end zone to make it 35-30. Cousins completed 19 of 26 passes with three touchdown throws.[1]

Chinn stops the final pass

Jason Sanders's fourth field goal brought New York within two points. Las Vegas then used a sustained possession to run down the clock before Matt Gay's field goal made it 38-33. Jeremy Chinn intercepted Geno Smith's end-zone pass on the Jets' final attempt. Las Vegas converted all four opportunities near the opposition end zone into touchdowns; New York managed two from six. The Raiders moved to four wins and four losses; the Jets fell to two wins and six losses.[1]
