Fourteen rounds span Australia and New Zealand
Supercars, the touring-car championship raced in Australia and New Zealand, announced a revised 14-round schedule for 2027. The calendar marks its 30th anniversary season.[1], [2]
The opening event is at Sydney Motorsport Park on 26–28 February, with the Adelaide Grand Final on 25–28 November. The programme covers six Australian states and territories and both of New Zealand’s main islands.[1]
Phillip Island returns as Darwin races after dark
Phillip Island, the Australian circuit, rejoins the calendar for the first time since 2019. It will host the second Finals round on 5–7 November. Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin is scheduled to stage the championship’s first night race during the 18–20 June weekend. The New Zealand double header visits Christchurch’s Ruapuna circuit on 7–9 May and Taupo on 14–16 May.[1]
Bathurst decides the ten-driver Finals field
The three-stage format introduced in 2025 remains: nine Sprint Cup rounds, two Enduro Cup rounds and three Finals meetings. The endurance phase begins at The Bend on 17–19 September before the Bathurst 1000 on 7–10 October. Bathurst determines which 10 drivers advance. The Finals then open on the Gold Coast on 22–24 October, before Phillip Island and Adelaide complete the championship.[1]
