Land secured in Hyderabad
Tata Consultancy Services’ data centre arm HyperVault plans a new AI campus in Hyderabad, the capital of India’s Telangana state. The company and its partners envisage investment of up to 700 billion rupees, about 7.4 billion dollars. The secured site covers approximately 107 hectares. The announcement sets out a campus with capacity of up to one gigawatt, alongside that upper investment limit.[1], [2]
HyperVault plans to develop capacity in phases
TCS says the site is to be developed in phases according to customer demand and technology needs. Its intended uses include training AI models on graphics processors and running the trained models for inference. The target customers include frontier AI companies and large cloud providers. TCS describes liquid-cooled, high-density compute as the infrastructure it intends to offer them.[1], [2]
TCS targets green energy and water neutrality
TCS says the campus is designed to use green energy and be water-neutral, without defining those terms for the project. These remain design objectives rather than measured results from an operating facility. The Hyderabad announcement follows TPG’s November 2025 agreement for 1 billion dollars in equity for TCS’s data centre division.[1], [2]
