Kyndryl opens its first US AI lab in Frisco

Enterprise technology-services provider Kyndryl opened its first US AI Innovation Lab in Frisco, Texas, in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The company announced the opening on 1 October. The facility brings customers together with consulting, engineering and infrastructure specialists to work on AI applications for their own systems and tasks.[1], [2]

Customers move from requirements to prototypes

The customer process has four stages: requirements discovery, joint design, prototype development and an implementation roadmap. Workshops and hands-on demonstrations use Kyndryl Consult, the company’s AI services, its Agentic AI Framework and the Vital design approach. A specialized team focused on US motor-vehicle agencies demonstrates how reusable code and implementation examples support software development and testing.[1]

Training partnerships accompany the lab opening

Kyndryl also announced workforce-development and training activities with NPower, Dallas AI and Tech Titans, including prompt engineering and workflow automation. The company expects up to 300 skilled jobs in AI, technology consulting and design engineering over four years. The lab’s Cyber Defense Operations Center brings network and security monitoring together with analysis. Existing facilities in the United Kingdom and Luxembourg form part of Kyndryl’s wider lab network.[1]
