Claude turns connected data into live dashboards and text into editable animations
Anthropic has opened Claude Dashboards and Motion in beta. Dashboards builds live charts from connected business data and exposes the underlying query; Motion creates animated explanations as editable code. The announcement also brings Docs, Slides and Design out of beta. Enterprise administrators must enable the new beta features, and the separate Claude Design site is scheduled to close on December 14.

Connected data becomes a dashboard with visible queries
Anthropic has opened Dashboards, a Claude feature that turns a plain-language request into a live data dashboard, in beta. It connects services including BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake and Salesforce. Charts expose the query behind their figures, and Anthropic says they also show when the data was last refreshed. The feature is intended for quick exploratory questions, with deeper analysis continuing in the connected analytics tools.[1], [2]
Motion builds animations as editable code
Motion, also in beta, creates animated explanations from text, charts, shapes and images. Claude writes animation code that users can edit, allowing changes to the timing or content before downloading an MP4 file. Anthropic describes a code-based animation tool rather than a video-generation model producing footage or people.[1], [2]
Enterprise administrators control activation
Dashboards is offered on paid plans, while Motion is available on Team and Enterprise. For Enterprise organizations, Anthropic keeps both features disabled by default and requires administrators to activate them. The beta rollout therefore includes an organizational control over whether those new tools can be used.[1]
In the same announcement, Docs, Slides and Design leave beta and become available across all plans, including Free. Anthropic also describes shared editing and presentation exports. The separate Claude Design site is scheduled to close on December 14, with migration instructions for existing users as those capabilities move into the main application.[1], [2]
