FPT and NAVER Cloud join forces on AI infrastructure and models
Vietnam’s FPT and South Korea’s NAVER Cloud have signed a cooperation memorandum covering AI factory infrastructure and enterprise services. They plan engineering exchanges, work on graphics-processor infrastructure and more efficient model responses. FPT also intends to bring NAVER Cloud’s HyperCLOVA X models into its services. The agreement sets out development plans without announcing a customer launch date.

The memorandum joins infrastructure and enterprise services
Vietnamese technology company FPT and South Korean cloud provider NAVER Cloud have signed a memorandum covering joint AI factory work. Aju Press places the signing at NAVER 1784 in Seongnam, South Korea. Announced on October 12, the cooperation includes planning, development and operation of infrastructure for training and running AI models, alongside services for enterprise customers.[1], [2]
The partners aim to combine computing resources, cloud technology and their customer networks across Asia-Pacific and beyond. FPT says it intends to add NAVER Cloud’s HyperCLOVA X language-model family to FPT AI Factory services. The planned integration is meant to adapt the models to enterprise applications and business workflows, without a disclosed date for customer access.[1], [2]
Engineering teams will work on processors and model responses
Engineering exchanges are planned between FPT staff, NAVER Cloud’s development centre in Vietnam and technical teams at its headquarters. Their work is intended to improve graphics-processor infrastructure and inference: the stage when a trained model processes a request and produces an answer. The plan therefore covers the operation of computing resources as well as software built on them.[1], [2]
The partners also plan operating environments for AI agents, software that carries out tasks in business settings. Aju Press reports exploration of graphics processors offered as a service in Korea, Japan and Vietnam. Such a service makes computing resources available to businesses through a provider. NAVER Cloud and FPT describe meeting regional demand as the purpose of this cooperation.[1], [2]
Existing facilities form the base for the planned work
FPT already operates Nvidia-powered AI facilities in Vietnam and Japan, according to the company. It identifies South Korean operations in Seoul, Daegu and Pangyo and existing relationships with LG, LG CNS, Shinhan and Shinsegae. These operations provide the background to the memorandum; the agreement does not disclose an additional processor inventory, facility power requirement or investment amount.[1]
NAVER Cloud chief executive Kim Yoo-won described combining his company’s AI experience with FPT’s facility and enterprise capabilities. He identified demand beyond Korea and Vietnam as a target. Reducing the need for customers to build dedicated infrastructure is one stated aim. The companies have announced technical cooperation and service-development intentions, with the joint customer offering still a planned stage.[2]
