Grab brings practical ChatGPT training to 3,000 Thai partners

Grab extended its AI training programme to Thailand, offering workshops and 3 months of ChatGPT Plus access to 3,000 driver, delivery and merchant partners. The lessons focus on everyday business tasks such as customer communication and marketing. This country rollout follows the regional initiative announced in September and its initial launch in Singapore.

Thailand joins the practical training programme

Grab, the ride-hailing and delivery company, extended its AI training programme to Thailand on 14 October.[1], [2]

The initiative offers practical workshops for driver, delivery and merchant partners. Co-founder and chief executive Anthony Tan introduced the country programme at the CNN Global Perspectives event in Bangkok.[1]

Workshops focus on everyday business tasks

In Thailand, 3,000 partners are being offered workshops and 3 months of ChatGPT Plus access. Topics include customer communication, retaining customers, producing marketing material and developing a business brand. The training joins existing learning content in the Grab Driver app, including personal finance and first aid. Tan described an ambition for partners to use AI for multistep work, including creating a website.[1]

Regional expansion follows the Singapore start

The Thailand rollout is part of GO Forward with AI, a regional initiative announced on 23 September. Grab’s goal is to reach 30,000 partners over 2 years. The programme began in Singapore, and the company plans to introduce it in Indonesia and the Philippines later this year. Grab’s partnership with OpenAI began in 2024. The Thai participant group is part of the broader training effort.[1]
