Sim erases private agent memory when a member leaves

Sim has added private-memory deletion when someone leaves an organization or the organization itself is deleted. Its latest release also changes how workspace permissions are checked before files are accessed. For longer workflows, the platform reports that work remains underway and narrows cancellation to detached runs that are still active.

Membership changes trigger memory erasure

Sim, software for assembling AI agents and workflows, has tied private-memory cleanup to organization membership. The project’s November 1 release deletes that memory when a person leaves, and also when the organization is removed. Its membership controls additionally check whether a workspace permits personal keys after establishing membership. The changes concern how the platform handles access and retained agent memory.[1]

File access checks permissions first

File handling now establishes workspace authorization before working out the requested file’s path. Downloads can use byte ranges and, where applicable, move without collecting the complete file in memory first. The organization’s People page also gains member profiles, reporting relationships and tools for importing people data. These are product controls described by Sim; the release does not report a confirmed exposure incident.[1]

Long workflows report ongoing work

A workflow tool taking longer to finish can return an ongoing-work status. Cancellation targets only detached jobs still running, and a paused workflow no longer occupies the next conversation turn’s workbench. On desktop, passkey authentication can finish in a browser before returning the session to Sim. Update-restart handling also recognizes active uploads and downloads as work underway when presenting confirmation.[1]
